He discovers [[Meret †|Meret]] walking towards the town Square, but notices that <span style="color: #6D9EEB;">Val</span> starts to sleepwalk towards the door. He stuns him and wakes him up quietly to show him what he sees, but when they get to the window, [[Meret †|Meret]] is gone and the music has stopped. They go to sleep and the next day when they’re eating breakfast, a [[Masked Man|strange person with a white mask]] walks into the tavern, [[The Well of Joy|the Well of Joy]], and have a glare-off with <span style="color: #6D9EEB;">Val</span>. After a quick talk with a “[[Violet|colleague]]” of <span style="color: #6D9EEB;">Val</span>, <span style="color: #6D9EEB;">Val</span> decides to suddenly sniff her and run off. They end up in [[Meret †|Meret’s home]] where <span style="color: #8E7CC3;">Klei</span> leaves a note before they go to the Town Square, where <span style="color: #8E7CC3;">Klei</span> last saw her going.
